About This Room

Overlooks the terrace and Pratt Mountain (direction of the golf course). Enjoy vaulted ceilings, gas fireplace, and a desk with outlets.

The suite includes a luxuriously large bathroom with a soaking tub.  A variety of artisan bath bombs, bubble bath, and soaps are available at the gift shop to complete a relaxing night away from home.

About Helen Benbow

Helen was the sixth Benbow child. Born and raised in Humboldt County, she learned the construction trade and worked in the Bay Area as a draftsman for several prominent architects. With George McCrae she built the Rispen Mansion in Capitola and several homes in Carmel. Helen oversaw the construction of the Hotel, Dam, all the houses in the subdivision, the Women’s Club in Garberville and a wing on the Garberville School on Sprowl Creek Rd.
