About Earnest Linser
Earnest Linser was a prominent Southern Humboldt rancher who ran his family’s ranch near Island Mountain. He then ran the Kinsey ranch (above Benbow) for years before buying the 1288 acre Roberts Ranch in 1914. His daughter Vera married Walter Benbow and Mr. Linser stayed on for years helping the Benbows with the ranch. He was never paid for the land. His room (406) will be adjoining Walter’s (407) and overlooking the ranch and the Kinsey ranch which he ran for years.
