We are very excited to share this amazing news with all of our friends, staff, guests, and family. At the Historic Hotels of America ceremony and gala at The Broadmoor in Colorado, our very own Teresa Porter was the recipient for the Hotel Historian of the Year Award and the Benbow Historic Inn took home the award for Best Small Historic Inn/Hotel (Under 75 Guestrooms). We are thrilled and thankful and so happy. It was a magical evening. Thank you to everyone for your support. The Benbow Historic Inn recently became a proud lodging partner with Historic Hotels of America and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Historic Hotels of America is the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation® for recognizing and celebrating the finest Historic Hotels. Historic Hotels of America was founded in 1989 by the National Trust for Historic Preservation with 32 charter members. Today, Historic Hotels of America has more than 260 historic hotels. These historic hotels have all faithfully maintained their authenticity, sense of place, and architectural integrity in the United States of America, including 44 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. Upon becoming a partner with Historic Hotels of America, the Benbow Historic Inn was presented an award the Historic Hotels of America ‘New Member of the Year’ award in 2014.
